Margie Handley – Gracious Friend, Patriot & Hospital builder

On behalf of the Howard Family, we want to express our love & devotion to a truly indomitable woman. The historian in me equates Margie with the spirit, drive, dedication and determination every bit as motivating as Winston Churchill. Margie was a dynamic force of nature. She was driven by a love and desire to serve those around her. Whether it was uniting with her dear lifelong friend Jann Lamprich in raising tens of millions of dollars to build a new hospital for the city of Willits, or simply loving & helping her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren, Margie thrived on a precious mission. She cherished and was devoted to her extended family! Margie always served, never wishing to be served. A simple hug and compliment meant the most to her. She loved being called a warrior. I always smile when I recall Margie sharing with me that she was once affectionately compared to a Sherman tank! As a US Marine & military history buff, I knew how accurate this comparison was as both a Sherman & Margie were rugged, dependable, highly mobile, & true representatives of victory! Margie took on many a worthy cause & motivated those around her to join in and move forward! We cherish her memory and give thanks to God for the privilege of having known, experienced, laughed with and been a friend to her. She was one fine Christian lady! Like the hospitals she so loved and supported, Margie Handley was & will continue to be a source of healing, hope & inspiration. She blessed others because she felt she had been so greatly blessed.
We love you Margie & cherish your memory!
